Dr Ramirez grew up in California and is fluent in both English and Spanish. He was awarded the degree of Doctor in Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University in Southern California. He also holds two degrees in Medical Radiology which gave him the privilege of caring for patients in the Emergency Room and Surgical Suites at Loma Linda University Medical Center and Children's Hospital prior to becoming a Dental Surgeon. Dr Ramirez comes to Santa Paula from having practiced dentistry in Santa Barbara and Ukiah, CA . He also taught student dentists as an Adjunct Professor of Restorative Dentistry. While in Santa Barbara, Dr Ramirez, as part of a collaborative, fulfilled one of his personal goals which was the construction of a low cost community dental clinic for working families who had no access to dental care. With his leadership, dental education was delivered to children and adults via radio, television, and public presentations to raise dental awareness and help people avoid expensive and extensive dental treatment in the future. His vision became a reality when he built, using donations and grant money, a large clinic which to this date continues to serve the less fortunate and is called the Santa Barbara Neighborhood Dental Clinic. His passion for helping people along with his pleasant personality and his expertise with both children and adults will make a first time visit unique for you or your child. Dr Ramirez is a member of the Santa Barbara/Ventura County Dental Society, American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Restorative Dentistry and he proudly serves his country as a Major for the California Air National Guard's 146th Airlift Wing at Channel Islands. Dr Ramirez enjoys spending time with his family, computers, snowboarding, running at the beach, mountaineering, and working out. He is married to Fabiola and ogether they have four small children ages 5Y, 4Y, 2Y, and 11days. We welcome you and look forward to having you as part of our dental family! |
